A gorgoeus mid-century Italian ceramic trivet featuring a vivid fruit basket motif rendered in the distinctive cuerda seca technique. The artist, signed Evrie, utilized raised relief lines to contain thick pools of high-gloss glaze, resulting in a deep, vitreous finish that sits atop the redware clay body like stained glass. The tactile surface distinguishes this piece from standard transfer-printed tiles. The composition depicts red apples and green leaves within a woven basket, framed by a stained wood border. The reverse bears the standard Made in Italy export mark, artist signature and mold number 5.
