Screw the proper length threaded rod into grille knob; 4. Fasten new grille to unit by screwing rod/knob assembly into grille mounting bracket. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN! The following lists the rod length for your fan: Model 503 fits 1" rod; Model 505 & 507 fits 2" rod; Model 509 & 509S fits 2¾" rod
